35week and 3 day check-up

I went in on Monday for my Strepp B test and decided that I wanted to get checked too. Well, that wasn't very comfortable. :/ I got to test my labor breathing! I am 80% effaced and not dilated. I go in again on Monday for another check-up so we'll see if I've progressed at all.

Here is the pic from last weekend, 35 weeks. I went ahead and measured my belly - it's 40.5 inches! Holy cow!

It is getting REALLY hard to sleep at night. I'm waking up about 3-4 times to use the bathroom and the weight of my belly feels like it is suffocating me sometimes. Yikes.

Last weekend we had our all day birthing class at the hospital. The hospital is really nice and the staff seems amazing. I've decided I will try and go "natural" as long as I can. It makes so much more sense for your body and really makes recovery much better. If I can make it to a 7 without an epidural I'll be happy. If I think I can do it all, I will. I seriously NEVER thought I would ever say that. The health benefits are just so extensive that it is worth trying. Darian got to have a little taste of what this weight feels like....here he is with his prego belly (only 28lbs.) and big boobs! Sorry it's blurry. I was laughing so hard. He did NOT want me to take this pic!

We are looking forward to a weekend of getting the office set up and finally finishing the nursery!! YaY!

34 weeks!

I just looked back at the pic from 28 weeks, ha! My belly was so little! I officially have a basketball. I think I look terrible with a chubby face, big booty and thighs that now touch but at least people out in public are very nice to me. I get a lot of "you look great" and those loving looks from strangers which is nice. To think I still have (possibly) 6 weeks left is crazy!

We did our first class yesterday, Baby Basics. It was great. They went over what to expect at the hospital, what "normal" poo looks like, how to do sponge baths at home, what to look for to call the doctor etc. We still need to hire a pediatrician which for some reason doesn't seem like much fun. There are 2 big practices here and I've gotten a referral for one. Generally I would just take my friends advise and go with it. Is this one of those times I should "interview" the doctor? Apparently that is normal but just seems weird.

The nursery is as complete as it can be without the dresser. D's parents are delivering it to us on June 18th weekend. I can't wait! I want to put all the clothes, extra diapers, blankets etc. away so bad. The hamper is full of stuff ready to wash but it just seems silly to do it now without having anywhere to put it. I'm sure I'll be washing it next weekend so it can go into the drawers as soon as they put it in the room.
