I'm getting lazy when it comes to posting pics so I figure this will be easiest. Here is a link to the latest flickr album.

Things are going well here! C is giving me about 4-5 hours straight at night and then another 2.5-3. This morning I didn't go back to bed after the morning feeding and I feel a million times better. I was going back to sleep after the 6-7am feeding and would wake up SO tired. I think it was just long enough for me to get into a deep sleep so when I woke up I was exhausted. We are figuring things out day by day around here. ;)
My neighbor is a photographer and coming over tonight to do a photo session with C. I'm very excited to see how they turn out. Hopefully we can get Camdyn to sleep through them....I'm not sure she will cooperate. She is currently asleep and has been for about 3 hours so I'm not sure that will bode well for tonight. If I've learned anything in the last 3 weeks it is this...NEVER wake a sleeping baby! So, she will be allowed to snooze until her heart's content!
Camdyn has a big weekend ahead. She will be meeting her Aunt Heather and Teta Nicole on Friday. I'll be sure and take lots of pics. Oh, and I think she will be making her 2nd trip to the winery before she is 1 month old. Whatever, it's cool.
=)
Our first miracle is on the way thanks to perseverance, prayers and a very special guardian angel!

Camdyn's 1st photo shoot...
LOVE!!!
I'm sure she will be annoyed by the camera before long but last Monday (on her 1 week birthday) we did a little photo shoot to surprise daddy. What better 8th anniversary present than some pictures of our sweet little girl....especially when they involve a Browns Helmet. :) She screamed through most of it (and pee'd too) but we got some really cute ones.
We think she has my feet...only time will tell.

SHE is here!!!
We are so incredibly excited to introduce Camdyn Daria Miskewycz born July 16, 2012 - 8lbs. & 21 inches long.
Here is her birth story.
Sunday morning at 1am (Saturday night) I started having pretty regular contractions about 10 minutes apart. By middle of the night I had the "show" (girls you know what I mean) so I was pumped that baby would be born on 7/15! Darian woke up at 6:30 and I told him, today was the day! Well, 7/15 wasn't the day. By mid morning my contractions were gone and it was just another day. I was so bummed. I even made the bed that morning thinking I wasn't coming home for a few days!
I continued having a few Braxton Hicks here and there but nothing steady. Then about 8pm they kicked back up again and by 9pm they were pretty steady. Then they hit. They started coming every 7-10 minutes and I was gripping the furniture during them. By 11:30 pm they were in full force. Our instructions were to call the doctor when they were 5 minutes apart for 1 hour and lasting 1 minute each. Well it hadn't quite been an hour when we called but they were lasting on average 1:30 seconds and I was definitely in labor. After we got the house in order (Darian vacuumed at 11:30pm, God love him), bags packed and stuff in the car we got to the hospital at 1:30am.
We are ready to meet our baby!
Once I was checked in, settled in our room and hooked up to monitors they exploded! They checked me right away and I was .25cm dilated...aka NOT DILATED! I was pissed. Seriously? I had been contracting all that time with tons of "show" and NOTHING?! The nurse was even a little baffled. Clearly I was contracting, the monitors were proving that, but my body was not cooperating. I can't even put into words the intensity of the contractions. I wanted to cry during them. I couldn't sit, I couldn't lay down all I could do was stand slumped over an exercise ball on the bed. The worst part was I basically hadn't slept since Friday night. I was EXHAUSTED! There was one point where I actually dosed off standing up which REALLY freaked me out. All I could think of was, I'm going to fall asleep standing up and hit the floor hurting myself and the baby. This totally freaked me out. Darian was also falling asleep. At first I got a little angry that he was sitting in a chair with his face in his hands sound asleep while I was contracting but then I realized if I wanted him to be helpful during the important part, he needed sleep. So, I told him to lay down and take a nap. This is what Darian was doing at 4:48am.
The nurse suggested that I get in the tub and see if that would take some pressure off my back because the back labor was terrible. I woke Darian up to come sit with me because I was really worried that I would fall asleep in the tub. At first I didn't want to get in the tub (insert germaphobe comment here) but I was willing to try anything to help. I got in the tub and although it did feel good, it didn't really help the contractions. I was actually able to fall asleep for a few minutes between contractions which was amazing. At this point they were lasting SO long that I was about at my wits end and then at times I'd have 2 right on top of each other and that was just torture.
The nurse came in around 6:40 to check me and said I was barely 1 cm. Great. After she checked me, she asked if I had ever had surgery on my cervix. She found some scar tissue during the exam which could only be from the IVF's or IUI's. I'm not sure if she moved it or what but the next time they came in to check about 1.5 hours later I was 3cm. Yippee! Finally some progress. I expressed my concern about how tired I was and how I didn't feel like I would actually be able to push once the time came. They suggested I get some IV pain meds. The meds were enough that I could lay down and took the edge off allowing me to doze off between contractions.
It was probably about 9:30 or so that I got the epidural. The anesthesiologist was amazing! Dr. Gibbs prepped me and I didn't feel a thing. Literally, not even a pinch. Once the epidural started working I was doing my best to keep my mind calm. Not being able to feel your legs is a very scary feeling. But, I was able to rest a little and so was Darian. The only problem with the epidural is it can make your blood pressure drop. I already have pretty low blood pressure so this did become a problem. They had me on my left but that wasn't working for the baby. Her heart rate wasn't tolerating the contractions very well so we switched to the other side. At first this seemed to be better but then my pressure got low and the baby's heart rate kept dropping drastically during each contraction. They gave me some oxygen to help. I'm not sure what time everything started to get scary but I knew something was up when I was getting a lot more attention from the staff. I was just laying there watching my contractions and the babies heart rate. My contraction would skyrocket off the chart and sometimes it wouldn't affect the baby but then when I'd have 2 back to back her heart rate would plummet. That is when shit hit the fan. The doc came in and said unless I was fully dilated we are going to have to do a c-section. I was only a 6 so she said, change of plans... we are doing a c-section now. She was very concerned as to why the baby wasn't tolerating things and wanted to get her out ASAP. All of a sudden I was taking off jewelry, signing consents and getting prepped for surgery.
They had D put on his paper scrubs, started wheeling me back and told him someone would come get him when it was time. The docs and staff were amazing. One nurse's shift was over and when they tried to relieve her she said "I've been with her all night, I'm not leaving now". So nice! To say I was scared would be an understatement. After a few kisses from the hubs we headed into the OR. Apparently they keep it really cold in there but I couldn't feel a thing. I was just trying to hold it together the best I could and listen to everything they were telling me. They got me all moved onto the table, put some morphine (or something for the pain) in my IV, hung the drape, strapped my arms down and started prepping me.
This is when they brought Darian in. He said he was sitting on a stool in the hallway and thought they had forgotten about him because it had been 10-15 minutes since they took me back (or at least that is what it felt like to him). I was shocked when he told me that because it felt like minutes to me. When they brought him in he said he had to put his hand up blocking his view because he thinks they had already started cutting and he definitely didn't want to see that! It seemed like forever, yet only seconds at the same time, and we heard the doc saying things like "He's got a full head of hair, move HIM this way". I think she said "he" 3 times. Of course we were hanging on every word... more to make sure the baby was OK than any gender but I was thinking we've got a boy now SCREAM! Just seconds later we hear the doctor say "I was so worried about the breathing, I didn't look down...It's a GIRL"! Then she let out a little scream. It was the best noise I have ever heard. If there is such a thing as love before sight, that is what I had. They had the pediatrician in the room ready to work on her so they got busy. Some dad's would have been rushing over but Darian said he didn't want to see her until I did, so we waited. They probably had her for 5 minutes before they brought her over. Then we met the love of our life!

Oh, the things I'm dreaming about...
The other night I was laying in bed thinking about all the things I CAN'T WAIT to do. Some may sound simple and really silly but here goes:
-Laying flat on my back. Yup, you can't lay flat on your back (for a few reasons) while you are pregnant.
-NOT peeing every 1-2 hours. Now, this didn't become a huge issue until of late but I really miss being able to go in public without having to think about where the closest bathroom is.
-Walking at 'Mande speed'. I remember early in the pregnancy I would kill myself trying to walk at my old pace. I'd go to run the simplest errand and be out of breathe because I just couldn't control the pace of my own legs!
-Being able to shave without feeling like a contortionist.
-Not getting noticed in public.
-Wiping the dogs paws without feeling like I'm going to vomit from squishing my belly.
-Putting shoes on and tying them! It is getting SO hard to tie my shoes.
-Wearing regular clothes again and possibly a bikini!
-Getting up from the ground/couch/bed without having to roll my way up.
-Wearing my wedding ring.
-Drinking alcohol. In any form.
And last but certainly most important...cuddling my new little love all day and all night!!!

I've been patient long enough....
For some this journey takes 10 months... for us it has taken years. To say we are "ready" is an understatement. These last few weeks are by far the hardest, as I figured they would be, but it is really hard to wait especially when you have no clue when the time will be here. I (we) have been patient long enough.
I was SO sad (like serious debbie-downer funk) when the doctor check-up on Tuesday resulted in NO dilation and the same 80% effacement as last week. I really thought my body was starting to work toward the end goal. But, it's not. We've been getting the typical "enjoy your last few days/weeks alone", "enjoy the quiet", etc. and although I know everyone means well, here's the truth. We have enjoyed each other and been alone for 8 years. We ARE ready. In the end, all that matters is that Pinto gets here safe and healthy and we all come home as a family so for now that is what I will focus on. Even if it takes 2 more weeks. :)
Enough venting...Although I could probably go to work next week, the doc agrees I need to stay closer to home. Plus, they get a little concerned about sitting in car for that long. There are a bunch of blood vessels and nerves that are compressed when driving which is not a good thing. So, I'm done working in Indy until after my maternity leave which I'm bummed about. I LOVE my co-workers and going to work. So although some would be enjoying having this extra time off, I'm sad I won't see my co-workers for quite some time. My plan is to get together with my other stay at home mommy friends and maybe take some "kid pics" while I'm at it. Hopefully I can stay busy enough to not drive myself (or Darian) crazy!
Here is a pic of my belly at 38 weeks 2 days. Ridiculous.
I just finished making the final touch to the nursery today. The sign above the crib says, "some things are worth the wait". Love it!
Ready to fill those empty frames!
Come on Pinto! We are READY for you!

35week and 3 day check-up
I went in on Monday for my Strepp B test and decided that I wanted to get checked too. Well, that wasn't very comfortable. :/ I got to test my labor breathing! I am 80% effaced and not dilated. I go in again on Monday for another check-up so we'll see if I've progressed at all.
Here is the pic from last weekend, 35 weeks. I went ahead and measured my belly - it's 40.5 inches! Holy cow!
It is getting REALLY hard to sleep at night. I'm waking up about 3-4 times to use the bathroom and the weight of my belly feels like it is suffocating me sometimes. Yikes.
Last weekend we had our all day birthing class at the hospital. The hospital is really nice and the staff seems amazing. I've decided I will try and go "natural" as long as I can. It makes so much more sense for your body and really makes recovery much better. If I can make it to a 7 without an epidural I'll be happy. If I think I can do it all, I will. I seriously NEVER thought I would ever say that. The health benefits are just so extensive that it is worth trying. Darian got to have a little taste of what this weight feels like....here he is with his prego belly (only 28lbs.) and big boobs! Sorry it's blurry. I was laughing so hard. He did NOT want me to take this pic!
We are looking forward to a weekend of getting the office set up and finally finishing the nursery!! YaY!

34 weeks!
I just looked back at the pic from 28 weeks, ha! My belly was so little! I officially have a basketball. I think I look terrible with a chubby face, big booty and thighs that now touch but at least people out in public are very nice to me. I get a lot of "you look great" and those loving looks from strangers which is nice. To think I still have (possibly) 6 weeks left is crazy!
(Horizontal stripes on the booty, not a good move)
We did our first class yesterday, Baby Basics. It was great. They went over what to expect at the hospital, what "normal" poo looks like, how to do sponge baths at home, what to look for to call the doctor etc. We still need to hire a pediatrician which for some reason doesn't seem like much fun. There are 2 big practices here and I've gotten a referral for one. Generally I would just take my friends advise and go with it. Is this one of those times I should "interview" the doctor? Apparently that is normal but just seems weird.
The nursery is as complete as it can be without the dresser. D's parents are delivering it to us on June 18th weekend. I can't wait! I want to put all the clothes, extra diapers, blankets etc. away so bad. The hamper is full of stuff ready to wash but it just seems silly to do it now without having anywhere to put it. I'm sure I'll be washing it next weekend so it can go into the drawers as soon as they put it in the room.
Here is a pic of the one complete corner of the nursery:

Bloomington Baby Shower!
Last weekend we celebrated another wonderful baby shower here in Bloomington. It was so great to be with (almost) all the most important people in my life. There were a few very important people that couldn't make it but everyone was definitely there in spirit!
Such a wonderful weekend!!! Thanks Kelly and Heather for planning it and Lisa for providing your beautiful home.

28 Weeks!
Today is the official 7 month mark! I started the day at 5:15 with Cali crying to go potty and Pinto getting its first bought of hiccups. It was so awesome.
Last weekend we headed to Cleveland for our baby shower. It was AMAZING! I am so overwhelmed with how generous people who really don't even know me can be. Babcha (what Pinto will call Darian's mom) did such an amazing job with the venue, food, decorations and favors. She also made this unbelievable diaper cake that is just beautiful. Here are a few pics:
The pretty favors!
The yummy cake with a sweet little reminder that some very special people are watching over us!
The Hostesses!
The happy parents-to-be!
We had such a blast at the shower and it was fun to spend some quality time with the fam. The quote of the weekend goes to Baba (Darian's grandma) the first time she saw me. "You are getting so big" then as I walked past her "in the back too." Gotta love her! I thanked her for her honesty and saying what everyone else was kind enough NOT to mention.
