16 week belly!

Here is my 16 week, 1 day belly. I'm officially popping out of clothes but it still looks a lot bigger from my perspective. ;)

We spent the weekend with the in-laws getting the wainscoting up! They are lifesavers! I can't imagine how long that would have taken without Darian's dad and his many tools and his mom and I running to Lowe's multiple times to make sure the boys were able to stay on track.

Darian's quotes of the week:
"Someone has trust issues" as I'm up on a ladder with a bandana on trimming the room. I gave in and let him take over and he did an AMAZING job!

(see the evidence below)

"I hope my wife is never on bed rest" as I'm tinkering around in the room trying to find SOMETHING to do. Darian's mom and I ended up hanging a wire shelf in the closet which required drilling so I was happy!!

My first Pinterest/Etsy purchase!

I am so excited! I just got my first etsy purchase that I just happened to find when I was searching for a diaper bag. Well, it's not a diaper bag but dag-on-it as far as Darian knows it is. It is so cute!

Here is a pic!

15 weeks - Indigestion and nesting, oh my!

Holy crap. Indigestion is no joke! Last night about 1.5 hours after our taco dinner I got a terrible stomach ache and just thought it would pass. Well, it didn't and my 10 day no puking steak was ended. :( I tried tums but it did nothing for the pain. I tried laying down, sitting up, laying on my side - everything. Nothing worked so about 2:30 I finally fell asleep sitting up on the couch.

I ran out today and got some more Tums and Zantac 75. Hopefully the combination will do the trick.

Here is my 15 week belly! It's definitely growing....And so is my booty!

Nesting is serious business! Darian had some work to do on Sunday and while he was working away so was I. The pantry got cleaned out, cubbies above the desk in the kitchen cleaned out and I totally revamped the closet under the stairs. It felt so good! Darian came downstairs and said "what are you going to do in 5 months when you are really nesting?" Ha! Probably steam clean the carpets like my friend Heather did right before she went into labor.

Here is a cute pic of Darian and Cali. He is getting some practice in.

14 week check-up!

Everything went great today! It was just a quick pee in a cup, blood pressure and heartbeat visit but everything sounds great. The heartbeat was around 150 beats per minute. I gained another 5lbs. which means I'm up about 10lbs. total.

I was so excited to learn where the baby is in my body. I had some gas bubbles the other night and was wondering if that was the baby but I was way off location wise. It is still so low it's hard to believe that an orange can fit way down there but I guess that's why it's pushing everything else outward.

I look at my belly all the time and Darian thinks it is hilarious. If you ask him if I'm getting big his response is that I'm a lot bigger in my mind than in reality. Last night he did say that it looks like I ate 2 burritos instead of 1. :) I don't think he understands how excited I am to see my growing belly, doesn't bother me a bit!

I am not going to make the mistake of saying I made the 2nd trimester turn but let's just say that I am starting to feel like a normal human being again. I am still exhausted at the end of the day, a picky eater and could probably heave over a super strong nasty smell but I'm doing better. I don't have to eat every hour and I don't wake up feeling like crap. These days that is a huge relief!!

Next ultrasound is 2/13/12! I think I'm going to make signs for Darian and I to wear at the appointment that says 'NO SEX'! That way there will be no confusion and no one will slip.

Bachelor is on tonight! Yippee!!!

Another 1st today...

So I had another 1st today... I puked WHILE I was driving. On the interstate. At 55mph.

That was fun. (TMI-warning) Luckily, I had only had water and a banana. It could have been SO much worse.

Silver lining...I can one up anyone with that story!

A little recap...

Since I started the blog so late I didn't have a chance to document all the fun stuff along the way...like morning sickness. :/

So I felt great until about 6 weeks and 5 days, to be exact. When someone would ask if I was "tired" I would think, well I guess so. Then the day before Thanksgiving I woke up feeling like a pregnant woman. I had gotten sick once a few days before but actually cheered and laughed because all I wanted was to feel sick so I knew I was really prego. Mind you, we had already had an ultrasound, saw pinto and heard the heartbeat but I needed to FEEL pregnant! Apparently, that is completely normal but your mind can play some serious tricks on you.

Thanksgiving morning I woke up super nauseous and exhausted even after a solid nights sleep. I had started to carry crackers with me everywhere so I had a few of those which didn't do anything for my queasiness. All day I just felt nasty and I think it was because of all the smells of food cooking etc.

Over the next week or so I started to feel sick almost every morning. Some days it would be all day but as long as I kept food in my belly I was able to ward off the actual sickness. I also learned pretty quickly that B6 candies, ginger ale, sprite, etc. didn't help at all. And, it got to the point where crackers made me sick! The only thing that helped was keeping something in my stomach at all times and eating two dinners a night. That became increasingly difficult as NOTHING sounded good, ever! The other crazy thing is how off the charts my sense of smell is. Holy cow! I know everyone talks about that but seriously, it is ridiculous. There are still times I'll walk in somewhere and heave just because of the smell. The other day Darian's cologne made me want to hurl!

Let's discuss the tiredness. I have never, in my life, felt exhaustion like this. One of my friends asked if it felt like I had mono and that is probably the best way to describe it. There are nights that I can't even think about what's for dinner because I'm so exhausted. Yet another sign that my body is doing what it is supposed to and working hard to grow this little baby that is now the size of a peach!

I haven't had any cravings although pickles really do taste amazing! ;) I wish I had a craving so at least something sounded good! Meals are more about process of elimination than anything else. I have been eating a lot of cheese as that seems to always taste good and I did devour a turkey burger the other night. Darian felt the need to add some comment like "don't eat the plate" or some not-so-funny comment like that. It kind of makes me giggle now but you don't tell someone who finally found something that tastes good to slow down or eat less. ESPECIALLY a pregnant woman! He still has a few things to learn.

I thought I turned a corner on Thursday. I woke up feeling rested (which never happens), didn't feel sick at all and thought I was on the road to 2nd trimester...and then I heaved. Friday and Saturday I felt pretty good and then Sunday hit. Let's just say I have found the one food that I won't be eating for a very long time.... turkey bacon. No bueno. It doesn't help that I am fighting a cold but I was on the couch all day Sunday after a very rough morning.

Today I feel pretty good (sickness wise) but still battling a cold. I ran out to the grocery this morning (looking like death warmed over) and got some "approved" cold medicine and o.j. Hoping to feel better soon!

It's Facebook official!

So overwhelmed by all the love coming from our friends around the country. Facebook truly is awesome!

13 week belly!

Here is a glimpse at the growing tummy!

13 weeks!

I went to my first prenatal yoga class this morning. I think it will be a lot of fun and there are a few ladies due right around the same time as me.

Yesterday was craft day! Here is a pic of my little craft project.

Don't they look ecstatic! :)

I want to add wainscoting/bead board to the babies room. Here is an example of what I want it to look like (this isn't actually our nursery):

Lots of decisions being made! Now if only we could figure out some boy names...
